Purpose: development and operation of the web application “Together Before God” (German: “Wir vor Gott”) for married couples.
Basic orientation: prayer, Bible reflection and impulses of faith for Christian married couples, grounded in the teaching of the Catholic Church.
Protecting your data – especially such personal things as your prayer intentions – matters deeply to us. This app was deliberately built so that your content stays with you.
The person named in the legal notice above is responsible for data processing.
Everything you enter in the app – names, wedding day, prayer intentions, resolutions and your history – is stored only locally on your device (in your browser’s so-called localStorage). This data is not transmitted to us or to third parties. You can delete it yourselves at any time: in the app via the gear icon (“Reset app” or “Delete profile”) or in your browser settings.
Taking your data with you: Under “Profile & settings” you can back up your content as a file and load it again on another device. The file is created on your device and is not transmitted to us. When moving from an earlier address of the app to its new address, your content is passed along inside the link itself, in the part after the “#” sign. Your browser does not send this part to any server; it is removed from the address bar as soon as the page opens.
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). When you open the site, Vercel processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time of access) in order to deliver the content. Transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).
The domain names (wirvorgott.com, togetherbeforegod.com) are managed by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare only answers the technical question of which server address the website can be reached at. The content of the website and the app does not pass through Cloudflare. Emails to kontakt@wirvorgott.com are forwarded by Cloudflare to our mailbox; for delivery, Cloudflare processes the sender, recipient and content of the message.
If you join the waitlist or send feedback, your message (and your email address, if given) is forwarded to our email address via the service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). Data may be processed on servers outside the EU. Providing it is voluntary; the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us. We use your email address only for the communication you asked for.
The German edition of the app embeds video impulses from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). No connection to Google is made unless you open or play a video yourselves. Only then are the thumbnail and the video loaded from Google’s servers, and Google (Google Ireland Ltd.) may process data such as your IP address. For details, see Google’s privacy policy.

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Austria: dsb.gv.at; in the United Kingdom: ico.org.uk).
